Halloween weekend

Busy busy busy this past week. When to my best friend Halloween party and spent the night.

She had made her Lydia costume and her boyfriends' Beetlejuice costume. They were great! He had won the costume contest the night before at the bar we went to. I wore my impromptu Shadowcat costume.

Since then, all week, I've been busy at work trying to push stock from our backroom at work. There just so much back there, and tomorrow I get out next truck shipment and just don't know where it's going to fit. :p

Clay update and Halloween Party

Here are a few images of what I've made over the last couple days.
My schedule got a little flipped since the last two shifts I did were both "overnight" shifts, ending at 3am.
And so, leaving my days open. :)

What I made today.

I've been a little short on extra energy, but here I am finally making this entry.
Last weekend my fiancĂ© had his company Halloween party. It was great fun. My only trouble is my food allergys which make social gatherings more complicated since Now I know what to avoid, for two years now. I'll get into that more.
My fiancĂ©, his coworker, his wife and myself all dressed as Rick from Rick and Morty.
Just like last year, it was held at a nearby hotel. And they provide dinner and and open bar.

A Charming Update

So, on my day off of work this week I did a test run of some charms on my todo list.
I made a few peppermint canes. With those I made candy canes and peppermint bark.
I also made some cheesecake bites and pumpkin cheesecake bites for rings.
AND, these I'm excited about, pumpkins!
I think they all turned out great. ;)

New York Comic Con 2014

Recently I got back from New York Comic Con.
This year, as with previous years, was  a lot of fun. Especially since I know now that your overall experience of a convention is significantly influenced by the people you surround yourself with. And keep my friends close by.

We stay at the Marriott in Times Square, they are very accommodating every year. New York Comic Con is one of the larger conventions I attend each year, and so I am sure to wear a costume. This year I recycled a few costumes, as I put off making a new one for too long.

The convention typically starts for me the Wednesday before. This year, I worked 6am until noon, in order to not use up another day of Paid-Time-Off.   ;)
Then I caught a flight out of the Chicago airport, O'hare, then landed in New Jersey's Newark Airport in the evening. I stay over night at Misty Autumn's house, and in the morning we caught a bus into NYC. Check into our hotel room, and got into costume.  New York Comic Con was a blast this year. It is always great to see my east coast friends!

My highlights of New York Comic Con 2014!

  • Winning an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. signing at the Marvel Booth with Clark Gregg!!
  • IGN Meet & Greet: Premier of the Korra videogame
  • Meeting and getting my comic, Edge of Spider-Verse Gwen Stacy, signed by artist Robbi Rodriguez
  • Meeting and getting my comic, Thor, signed by Russell Dauterman
  • Last but not least, having a Starlord costumer approach me, wearing Shadowcat, for a picture. He even handed me his headphones, press play on his cassette player; and it played Fooled Around and Fell In Love by Elvin Bishop X3

Misty Autumn and myself
   Upcoming occurrences that I'm excited about;
  • Big Hero 6
  • Interstellar
  • Civilization: Beyond Earth (PC)
  • Legend of Korra (PS4)

First Day as a Blogger

I am not sure if I'll like this, or if I will be any good at it. I've never been much of a writer. But we shall see. Today I worked an 8hr shift and it was exhausting; I am aiming to make a career change soon. I currently work at a chain craft store. Today was our weekly warehouse shipment, so now our overcrowded backroom is now even more crowded with Christmas decor.

I love to craft and sew. So, as I get this blog started expect to see what I'm working on and what inspires me everyday. I make lots of work inspired by things I love. This can include things like comics, movies, photography and food. Hopefully I can get links to my other pages set up on the sidebar, you can look for changes there.

Here are some quick shots of my work.
